“The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds”
~Nicholas Sparks~
My journey to becoming a wedding officiant started when a couple asked me to assist in the end of life care of their beloved cat who was battling cancer and was holding on for them. Being able to communicate between the pet and their owners gave the animal a voice; allowing the owners a unique opportunity to connect and in this case, give their pet permission to let go and transition to their next journey. I was able to create a peaceful space and give them Reiki energy after their cat was crossing over to help alleviate physical, emotional, mental and spiritual stress.
I continued treating the couple and helped them separate with love as they were heading towards a divorce. Coming from a divorce and being super close with my ex, inspired me to guide them towards uncoupling with love. They asked me to perform “a divorce ceremony” followed by a couples Reiki Session as they wished their parting to be an act of love. It was an absolute honor and so very touching and beautiful. Now both in new relationships, I am thrilled to work with all of them.
One of the now new-formed couples asked me to perform their "wedding ceremony”. I was so honored that they wanted me to be part of their most memorable event. When I stood there at the altar, guiding them into marriage, holding a peaceful space for them, I was overcome with so much gratitude and emotions. It is hard for me to describe how I felt.
As I gazed into the audience, I thought how special it was to see the groom’s ex-wife and her boyfriend with a smile on their face witnessing and celebrating this happy union. To deepen the experience of this beautiful ceremony I offered intuitive guidance/reiki sessions beforehand to the groom’s ex-wife and to a close friend of the couple who had lost a dear friend just days before. I was also able to act as a medium between the father of the bride and his deceased son.
To be able to include his energy in the ceremony makes what I do so special to me.
Being able to offer my other abilities before, during and after the ceremony adds so much more to the whole experience for me and all people involved.
I will always be grateful for this first wedding as it opened up a whole new world for me. I love being part of people’s lives, being able to make a small difference. Whether it is at their wedding, their divorce ceremony, renewing vows or more….
